Privacy policy

Our view on privacy is simple: Golden Orb values privacy, and respects yours. We do not collect any form of personally identifiable details on our company website, and we will not share your details with any third parties without your consent.

Golden Orb runs the business services website groupsort.com. On that site, extra facilities are available to users who register, which requires an email address. Again, we do not share these details with third parties.

In common with most sites on the internet, our websites use cookies. Some are necessary to make the site work correctly, while others are used to help us understand our users and improve content over time; we use Google Analytics for this purpose, and Google provide detailed information on how they use data they obtain from sites such as ours. Continued use of the sites is taken to mean that you consent to this use of cookies. If you would like to opt out of any cookie usage, please configure your web browser to accept only the ones you are happy with. Please note, though, that this might adversely affect the way the sites work.

GDPR

Where we acquire the names and contact details of potential clients or partners in a business context (such as at a trade show or conference), these details may be added to the Golden Orb distribution list for future e-mail and other communications. Such contacts might include visitors to our stand, attendees at a talk delivered by us, or visitors to a talk, theatre or event sponsored by Golden Orb. Where we have acquired such details under circumstances where the individuals concerned might reasonably expect to be contacted by us, we consider it to be within our legitimate business interests to follow up with further information as appropriate. We will do what we can to ensure that such information remains interesting, relevant and not delivered so frequently that it becomes burdensome.

Individuals on our distribution list have the right to unsubscribe from future e-mails at any time, either by using the ‘Unsubscribe’ link, if available, or by replying to the e-mail and requesting to be removed from the list. Please note that unsubscribing from the list will not automatically result in removal from our database: the contact details need to remain in place in order to record the ‘unsubscribe’ request. However, individuals also have the following rights:

  • The right to see what personal information we hold about them
  • The right to request corrections to any errors
  • The right to request deletion of all personal data
